09:31 am - MOS 4: In and Out The fourth book in my Men of Smithfield--and I guess my final pairing for now (I don't know. We'll see.)--came out last week. In and Out. My spring in Smithfield story. Reviews so far are great!
Here's the blurb~
Former television sensation and renowned world explorer, Holden Worthington, is held prisoner by crippling agoraphobia. When a sexy young laborer arrives to set his property to rights, a ray of light glimmers in Holden's dark and narrow world. A grisly discovery throws the two men together, and Holden finds his world turned inside out by his inappropriate longing for his awkward, young employee, Adam Morgan, and by a threat growing around them both. All of Smithfield believes Holden has something to hide, and Adam is determined to bring everything--including Holden Worthington--into the open.
Kindle Aspen Mountain PressMy plan is to continue the series with a few holiday inspired quickies for my lovely Men of Smithfield: Mark and Tony, Seth and David, Finn and Max, and Holden and Adam. Here's hoping. Keep your fingers crossed. In other news, I'm writing, blogging at Noseinabook, and preparing for a trip to Costa Rica. White water rafting and maybe a surf lesson or two--but most importantly, I'm going to see my daughter for the first time in half a year. :) She's now fluent in Spanish, she's tan and frizzy-headed, and she's traveled through Central America on her own (with friends). I'm very pleased, but I want to wrap my arms around her and squeeze her. Hope your spring is happy. ~LB Current Location: Couch Current Mood: chipper Current Music: Muse

10:29 pm - Stars when you shine, you know how I feel
Birds flying high You know how I feel Sun in the sky You know how I feel Breeze driftin' on by You know how I feel It's a new dawn It's a new day It's a new life For me.. And I'm feeling good
Wow. I think I've forgotten about my live journal.
Since I last posted, I've had two more books come out. Well, Gobsmacked came out in print from MLR Press in the new Smart Ass series with Amber Green, and Happy Ending was released from Aspen Mountain Press last Friday. It's been a busy couple of months, that's for sure.
Did you ever get a song stuck in your head? 'Course you did. Today I've been listening to Adam Lambert, the American Idol contestant, sing Feeling Good ... non-stop. Very uplifting and it's been putting me in the right frame of mind. The new book frame of mind. I've been furiously taking notes for this new story--the one where I get to go on an investigative trip into the city (i.e. New York) to research. Yes. That's right. My next project isn't set in New England.
Shocking!
I've filled an entire notebook getting this story ready. I'm eager, for the first time in about three months, and I'm chomping at the bit to get this thing started. It'll be a trick getting it to work, what with the murder, the mayhem, the sex, the plastic surgery, but I'm up to the task. ::crosses fingers::
So once I get the third Men of Smithfield off to my editor(s)...it's a new day, baby!

Thank you ZAM for letting me know that I'm in the top ten list. The little Gob that could? Thanks everyone for buying me book. I'm slaving away on the fourth now and trying not to succumb to that...crushing thing that happens when you've been working too long.

Happy Valentine's Day.

10:14 am - I'm feeling a bit Gobsmacked myself.

A few months of typing, some kind words, a fun interview, and KaBlam! I'm an author. It's all a bit...new. I'd like to share some reviews since that seems to be the done thing.
Renee, whose blog Renee's Book Addiction, is somewhat new to me, posted an enthusiastic and in depth review of Gob. Thanks Renee. I'll have to buy her a drink next year when we're in So.Cal together.
Sarah, Rain on the Roof, is teaching me a few things about promo. Wow. I heart her big time. She has both a fun interview and a charming review. Sarah's the shiznits, as we all know.
Finally, Jenre, an exceptionally fine lady, took the time to read Gob and discuss the highs and lows. I appreciate that so much. And I wound up with an "Excellent" so that's good news indeed. ::bullet dodged:: Do check out her blog, it's zippy and fresh.
Thanks ladies. This is a strange and wonderful experience.

11:08 am - Sweet Release Gobsmacked available February 6th from Aspen Mountain Press!
I expect to have a cover any day now. Of course, I’ll be out of town when my book comes out, life working that way most of the time for me, but I’ll be enjoying the hell out of sunny Southern California and celebrating with friends.
I’ve only skied TWICE this month. If that isn’t the sorriest, lamest thing ever, I don’t know what is. There’s plenty of snow, the weather has been pretty damn perfect (we won’t count those couple of 8 degree days) and the price is right every morning at my local hill. $20. Tomorrow I’m strapping on my boots and taking a few runs. No excuses. Unless it rains.
Two, count them one…two…interviews are upcoming. Carolyn Jean (and her naughty secret identity Lil’ CeeJay) and I are basking in the sunshine over at the Island of DIK . That’ll happen on the 27th of January. Thanks to Tracy and Sarai who juggled the schedule for us. The next Q&A is with my pal Sarah, from the deliciously wicked and always fresh Rain on the Roof. She plans to grill me on the 4th of February. Can’t wait. Stop by and say hello.
Finally, the word from ManLoveRomance Press is that Gob has found a partner, Turner &Turner: One Good Turn, by Amber Green. Look for that in March. We begin our edits, as well as our new joint venture, this week. Hiya Ms. Green!
I’ll post a cover and another excerpt within the next few days.
